The
Norfolk Yacht and Country Club
From Downtown Norfolk:
Take Waterside Drive to Brambleton Avenue, turn Left, follow
Brambleton Avenue until it merges right onto Hampton Blvd., follow
Hampton Blvd. past Old Dominion University Campus and through
Larchmont, go over the Lafayette River Bridge, the Club entrance
is on the Left at the end of the tennis courts, there are two
white pillars at the entrance to the
Club.
From Hampton, VA:
Take I-564 Terminal Blvd./Naval Base Exit, take the first exit
which is Terminal/Hampton Blvd. Exit, follow Terminal Blvd. to
the Third Stop Light which is Hampton Blvd. take a Left onto Hampton
Blvd., go approximately 1 mile, make a Right into the Club (immediately
after the Second Presbyterian Church), there are two white pillars
at the entrance of the Club, the
Club is before the Lafayette River Bridge.
From Virginia Beach, VA:
Take I-264 to I-64 West towards Richmond, VA., take the (Left-Hand)
Naval Base Exit 564, take 564 to Terminal Blvd. Exit, follow Terminal
Blvd. to the Third Stop Light which is Hampton Blvd. take a Left
onto Hampton Blvd., go approximately 1 mile, make a Right into
the Club
(immediately after the Second Presbyterian Church), there are
two white pillars at the entrance of the Club, the Club is before
the Lafayette River Bridge.
By Water:
Heading North towards the Chesapeake Bay from the Intercoastal
Waterway, Downtown Norfolk or the Southern Branch of the Elizabeth
River:
From Buoy #R36 in Port Norfolk Reach (NOAA Chart #122253) head
North through Lambert’s Bend into Craney Island Reach (NOAA Chart
#122245). You will pass the Norfolk Southern Coal Piers on your
starboard side and the Craney Island Coast Guard Base on your
port side. At Lambert’s Bend the mouth of the Lafayette River
will be off your starboard bow, head Northeast from Craney Island
Reach Buoy #G23 to Lafayette River Entrance Buoy #R2. Follow the
channel into and through the Lafayette River until Buoy #R14,
Norfolk
Yacht and Country Club is on the North Side of the Lafayette
River just West of the Route 337 (Hampton Blvd.) Bridge.
Heading South from the Chesapeake Bay, Hampton Roads,
or James River to the Intercoastal Watersway:
Head North from Buoy #R8 Norfolk Harbor Reach (NOAA Chart #122245)
through Norfolk Harbor Reach to Craney Island Reach Buoy #G19.
You will pass Norfolk International Terminal (a containership
terminal) on your port side and Craney Island Landfill on your
starboard side. Head East from Craney Island Buoy #G19 to Lafayette
River Entrance Buoy #R2. Follow the channel into and through the
Lafayette River until Buoy #R14. Norfolk
Yacht and Country Club is on the North Side of the Lafayette
River just West of the Route 337 (Hampton Blvd.) Bridge.
